Anyway, I digress. Here's some stuff I've been working on:
1) First, that animation class! So, like three years ago I created an animatic for a short film for a class at school. I was always pretty happy with it and wanted to finish it, so I took an animation class this summer to help motivate me to work on it again. Even though I didn't get too much done in the way of show-able work, it's gotten me to a place where I feel like I can actually finish it myself.
Here's the original animatic:

Here's a semi-finished first shot in the ~finished~ short. It's really all I have to show at this point, and I'll have to fix it eventually because Henry kind of looks like he's made of rubber...
Untitled from Hannah on Vimeo.
I'm wary of posting anything else I have so far without getting further into the short. It's kind of on hiatus at this point until I move out and have more space to work on it, but it's one of my end of the year resolutions to finally finish it, so I'll post more as I go along.
2) My sister and I started a daily sketch blog! It's here on Tumblr for your easy following pleasure! I'll post the sketches here as well, to make it look like I do more.
Unfortunately they're only shitty Instagram photos, but you get the gist...they're basically all drawings of how I want to dress in the fall, because I like to plan ahead for these sorts of things, lulz. I like to plan ahead for everything, really. When I was little I used to play these games where I would have to prepare for a big natural disaster, or pack for a long train ride, etc...I was a weird kid. This made me think that Hurricane Irene would be much more up my alley, but it's mostly just been kind of boring.
Anyway, speaking of shitty Instagram photos, Brooklyn Vegan used one of mine for their post on the free Wavves show on Thursday! It was a really fun show. I thought the bandshell they played in looked really familiar, and I realized that I recognized it from that episode of Flight of the Conchords where Murray takes Brett on a tour of bandshells in New York...awesome. But yeah, check out the post! The only comment on it is insulting my photo, but hey, you take the good with the bad. LINK!
Well, that's pretty much it right now...I've been working more on my comic idea, mostly on the story side, but hopefully I'll have more to show for that soon! I'm starting to think that I can use this blog to branch out beyond my artistic endeavors, except, you know, who really cares? But I think there may be a revamp coming, or something...so yeah. Look out, world.
