I combined a couple of patterns from my various Japanese crocheting/knitting books. I have a ridiculous collection now, but I couldn't live without them! I find them vastly superior to most American knitting books; they're just more my style.
Anyway. On Sunday I went with said best friends to get brunch at Royal-T, the cutest maid cafe in L.A. I got a chance to take pictures of them with the presents I knit for them for Christmas. Here is Alissa with her capelet (knit with Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino):

I also wore an outfit I was semi-proud of, and I probably will not be able to wear anything like it once I get to the snow-laden streets of New York, so I will commemorate it here:
Sorry for the crappy quality of the photos; they were all taken in Photobooth and on my phone. Eventually I will invest in a nice camera...but right now I'm kind of digging the low-quality aesthetic.
